We regret that owing to the possibility of mistakes, we are unable to accept requests for repeat prescriptions by telephone. Instead we require you to either post or deliver by hand a list of the required items to the surgery. If a stamped, addressed envelope is enclosed, we will post your prescription back to you.
You can also request your prescriptions online or arrange for the pharmacy of your choice to order them; as a one off, once a month or however often you need your medication.
Prescriptions will generally be available for collection 48 hours after they are received. These can be sent by return of post if accompanied by a stamped, address envelope. Repeat prescriptions requested on a Friday will be ready for collection on a Tuesday.
Doctors have a legal responsibility to monitor you and your medication at regular intervals. You may be asked to see the GP before we give you your repeat prescription.
The practice uses a system that allows patients to order repeat prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page. In order to use it patients will need a username and password which will be provided on request at the practice reception. We hope this makes the process of ordering much easier for our patients.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and a notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
